Our story
About the Society
A Literary Community for Readers, Authors & Ideas
Mission
To make reading a shared, unhurried act again.
The Virelle Literary Society exists for people who want more from a book than a finished page. Each month we choose a single title and read it together in weekly chapters, with discussion questions, live conversations and the authors themselves joining wherever we can arrange it.
We are a home for readers who want depth, and for authors who want readers who actually read. Everything we build — the bookshelf, the events calendar, the author directory — serves that one relationship.

Emily Cannan
Founder & Executive Director
"I wanted a room where a book could be taken seriously and still be a joy. That room is now open to you."
